embroidered steps on fresh snow

Narumi Takada, a self-taught expert embroiderer, has created this amazing piece of footsteps and paws in freshly fallen snow.

The creator (or should I say artist?) revealed that they created the realistic looking snow using a tool called a punch needle. When the needle is inserted, the thread comes out of the fabric in a hoop shape, so they cut it all off.

They have even shared some pictures of the piece in the making.
